Search engine optimization is
the practice to increase quality organic visitors to a website. Certain modification made in website can improve ranking of your website in Google search result. It will lead to increase in natural visits to a website. By doing SEO in a website a website will be listed in Google for relevant keywords. Since the searchers can easily find website in Google, it lead to natural visits and website will get more business inquiries.

Crawling:
It basically means following a path. SEO begins with crawl experience of google
path. Crawled details are recorded in a server log files.
Caching: Cache
improves the loading time of web pages, and optimize the sites, and it improves
the performance of website.
Indexing: it’s the process of adding the searched pages to google search, depending upon the keywords inserted.
SEO practices can be broadly
classified into White Hat SEO and Black Hat SEO
White hat SEO: Most genuine and ethical practice to gain page rank is called as white hat SEO. They strictly follow the google guide lines for SEO.
Black hat SEO:
it can be referred as unethical way of practice to gain page rank.
SEO techniques includes ON PAGE OPTIMISATION and OFF PAGE OPTIMISATION.
OFF PAGE OPTIMISATION is the activity done after a page is live on web
EVOLUTION OF SEO
Google came as a search engine. In early stages it was not working on basis of algorithm, but on the content basis. It was like ranking the pages on basis of more number of same keywords used. So a new process called keyword stuffing [repeating keywords to gain page rank easily.it is a black hat SEO process] started in order to gain more ranking for the page.
Google found more
opportunities and started to work on it .Consequently google changed the content based search to
link based to maintain the quality of data attained.. Gradually google found it to be failing in keeping its
quality. Many black hat process where
done to rank the webpages. Example: link were sold for cash.
Then link specific was changed to
quality link specific [links from a trust worthy page] ranking
method. Only quality links attained will be ranked. The links attained from other websites are considered as vote of recommendation. These links are called as backlinks. Here a new
term called page ranking was formed
Page rank:
Determines the quality rank attained by a quality link.it is also called trust
value.
Trust value grows
as long as a search remains in page. Page will increase with the growth of trust
value. example trust value gained is high for pages like twitter.com and US
government site.
Page rank updation was last done on 2013 and on 2019 it was stopped completely or can also be told that google refreshed it. Another update done during quality link specific era was passing the juice.
Passing the juice
It is the term
used to determine the equity passed through hyperlinks.. if a webpage with high
ranking, passes equity or links to other pages, it will loose its page rank.
In the year 2005, google joined yahoo and Msn for the “no follow attribution”. This was an action which was used by the web pages to pass the equity or share there links without loosing there page rank.
Google Adwords to Google Ads

Google AdWords is
an advertisement program, which helped google to earn and grow wider. Here a
amount has been paid to google and advertiser will be able to post the advertisement
on google pages. The amount paid is called CPC [cost per click]. Google AdWords is now known as google adds.
Google AdSense
After the Adwords, new update was the google Adsense. It was a updation which helped the users to earn a revenue, by adding advertisements to the pages. According to the click on the ads on the vlogs, a small amount will be paid to the vlog owner from the CPC paid to google. Google suggest and Google personalized search was enlightened in the year 2009. Google became more interactive during this year. As a result of interaction more updations like bounce rate and pogo sticking were done, to maintain the quality of the webpage.
Bounce rate: It is very important for webpage to keep its bounce rate always low, to maintain its page rank. Bounce rate is the percentage of visitors who leaves or bounces away from the webpage, after viewing it once, it means not much time is spend on that page, because the page is not giving better search results to the users and thus bounce rate will increase, this result in loss in page rank.
Pogo sticking: when the searcher clicks on a link on search engine result page, and
finds that its not the page needed and immediately moves back towards the search page, and moves to the next search result or new page. Then the ignored page may be pushed down in search engine result. The links which
are not easily opened in search result are called broken links.
SOCIAL MEDIA SIGNAL RANKING[2010]
A link attains more page on sharing it on social media. More algorithm changes was also done in social media page ranking further. Ranking increased according to the high authority or high influence power users links connected to it. Still ranking will increase to those social media pages who has more interaction, even if they do not high authority or high influential power. For example: more comments attained than a influential page attain will rank high.
